Steve Evets is Colin
Heavy drinking, unemployable lost soul Colin is Adam’s most loyal parishioner. Despite his late nights and hard living, Colin never fails to attend morning prayers and his ample spare time means he’s always around to share a cigarette with Adam. He’s open-minded to other interpretations of religion, whether experimenting with Rastafari (“embrace the One Love Adam, or I’ll deck you”) or taking the promise of eternal love too literally and groping a member of a visiting Evangelical congregation.
Steve Evets is best known for his performance in Ken Loach’s Looking for Eric, which earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the European Film Awards. His first major film role was alongside Robert Carlyle in Kenneth Glenaan’s award-winning Summer, and other features include Robin Hood and the forthcoming Brighton Rock. His television credits include Five Days, Shameless, Life on Mars and The Street.
